Family Time

Andy and Kellie live an hour away and Eric has two cousins in San Diego. His Aunt and Uncle recently moved to town so it's been neat spending time with his family. Last weekend we all got together last weekend in San Clemente to have lunch.

We all get excited to see Aunt Kellie and Uncle Andy but no one is more excited than EJ!

The little one is Charlie, Eric's 2nd cousin (Lauren's son). He's 9.5 months and he gets a kick out of EJ. Without being prompted, EJ plays peek-a-boo with him and makes funny faces at him. He's going to be a superb big brother!



After lunch we happened upon a frozen yogurt shop which is a favorite of the Newman boys so we had to stop and make the traditional "squirl" (chocolate and vanilla swirl) with M&Ms, sprinkles and gummy worms. Thankfully, Aunt Kellie helped EJ get all his toppings.





We also got to see my cousin, Derek, his wife, Robin and their boys when they were in town for a few days from Phoenix. Drew and Nate showed EJ a good time. They brought him leggos, the book, "If You Give a Dog a Dougnut" and let him play on their ipad while the adults spent time chatting. It was a fun night for all!
