Going Home

After a long week in the hospital we were ready to go home. I had some significant pain issues to deal with so we had to wait for my doctor to give final permission for me to leave. When the time came to leave we took a family picture on my bed and then loaded up and headed home.

Here's Jack in his going home outfit. He didn't seem to notice but I thought it was really cute.

Here's Jack in his car seat. My mom made a new cover for the seat. It turned out amazing. It so soft and comfy. Jack liked his seat and didn't fuss at all.

Here we are on our way out. EJ insisted on pushing the wheelchair. The CNA was sweet about letting him help push.

EJ was so proud to sit next to Jack and make sure he was ok. If the sun was in his eyes he would hold a blanket up to block it. Jack did great on the way home. It was only a 10 minute ride but he did great nonetheless.

Home at last. It felt SO good to crawl into my bed with my soft blankets and pillows after a week filled with pain at every turn. Eric agreed as he had slept on a cot that had an inch thick mattress and his legs were a foot longer than the cot. He never complained but we both slept great our first night home. Jack slept for five hours straight so that was an even bigger blessing.
