Brian has a condo in Silverthorne and he invited us up for some winter fun after Christmas! Across the street from his place is a wonderful park with sledding hills. Here he is taking EJ to sled upon our arrival.
One of the highlights was going dogsledding and snow mobiling. Here we are at Good Times just outside of Breckenridge.
The siberian huskies took a liking to Grandma Carol!
Jack and Eric came to see the dogs and then they waited in the lodge. After we got back I took the boys so Eric could go snowmobiling with his mom and brother.
Here's Carol driving and I'm sitting in the sled. It was 12 degrees which is warm for the dogs. They prefer to run when it's -20 degrees!
Now it's my turn to drive. We never went all that fast but the dogs sure seemed to love it. This pack was all males and they were very playful and fiesty.
Here's the view from the sled.
Here's Carol, Eric & Brian on their way to the Continental Divide.
While everyone else was snowmobiling I took the boys through Breckenridge and to Lake Dillon. Forsberg ashes are spread there so it was sweet to come back and remember him.
After we came back from the mountains we visited Aunt Muriel and her family. There are lots of little boys in the family but three baby girls will be born in 2013 to even out the count a bit! EJ loved playing with his 2nd cousins and I loved holiding baby Fisher!
Here's the whole gang! It was a sweet time of fellowship and celebration of God's goodness!
